Robby Hertling began his career with Unity at the age of 14 where he worked as a laborer during his summers. After attending Monmouth University for three years, he decided to take a different path and re-enter the field and begin his carpenter apprenticeship.

He became a union carpenter and learned how to frame, hang drywall, erect ceilings, and work alongside other trades on jobsites. Five years later he starting running work as an on-site Project Supervisor, where he was responsible for the coordination of all Unity’s subcontractors and client vendors. He also ensured the job site was consistently safe and clean while maintaining the project’s productivity and communicating with our Project Managers as well as the client.

In 2019, Rob joined Unity’s Estimating Team where he is now responsible for corresponding with architects and subcontractors during the bid phase. He establishes scopes of work for each trade and qualifies vendors proposals to ensure the correct scope and pricing is captured.
