PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Leggett is a 145,000-square-foot, existing warehouse built in the 1950s. Unity Construction Services, Inc. was hired as the Construction Manager to fully gut and rebuild this facility for the world’s largest online distributor for cold storage purposes. Unity removed the entire concrete floor slab. Regraded, compacted, and poured a new 6” concrete floor. All new MEP systems including rooftop units, gas heaters, new core, and ADA restrooms were installed. Unity built an entirely new 7-bay enclosed loading area with new dock equipment and roll-down gates. The entire envelope of the building was upgraded with new bricks and repointing, a new white TPO roof, and all new insulated glazing systems. Sliding automatic gates were installed all in a new blacktop parking structure. All new civil work including sewer and drainage was completed too. A large site package was developed and executed with new drainage, tanks, mains, lighting, and paving. This project was completed on time during the pandemic.
