PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Unity Construction Services completed the full demolition and renovation of NJIT’s Science Labs 109 and 206, transforming the spaces into modern, high-performance laboratory environments. The project included comprehensive electrical service and panel upgrades, along with new LED lighting throughout to enhance energy efficiency and illumination. Mechanical upgrades featured the installation of a new 25-ton HVAC unit and a glycol make-up unit to support precise temperature and humidity control. Each lab was outfitted with new casework featuring durable epoxy resin countertops, glass acid waste piping, and seamless epoxy flooring to ensure chemical resistance and long-term functionality. The result is a fully modernized laboratory setting designed for safety, efficiency, and advanced scientific use.
