PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Unity Construction Services finished a 5,000-square-foot community facility building for Arverne East on the eastern side of Beach 44th Street. The building rises on piles up to elevation +16 feet and is fossil fuel-free. A closed-loop geothermal system provides the building with heating and cooling. The building houses a publicly accessible comfort station, administrative space for the New York City Parks Department for Nature Preserve operations, administrative offices, and shared classroom space for community partners to operate free public programs.
